\par }{\b\fs24 Columbia, SC: }{\fs24 The Trescott Championship is the \ldblquote Club Championship\rdblquote  for SCGA member clubs.  Three members from each club compete with other member clubs in a format that counts the t
otal score of all three members of the team.  Rock Hill Country Club came into this year\rquote s event as the three time defending champion.

\par A brisk wind and tree lined fairways created tough scoring conditions. With a score of 218 (2 over par), the team of Kei
th Murphy (71), Mike Bright (72) and Bill Smunk (75) from Yeamans Hall Club in Hanahan climbed to the top with a six stroke victory over the team from Musgrove Mill - Walter Todd (72), Woody Greene (75), and T. D. Todd, Jr. (77)(224).

\par The team from Rock Hill C. C. tied for third with Columbia C. C. another stroke back at 225.

\par The team from Yeamans also captured the Pro-Am portion of the event.  Claude Brusse, the team\rquote s professional made three birdies to aid his teams effort of a 13 under par 131.  Th
is portion of the event counted the best two gross scores on each hole of the four as the team total.  The team from Musgrove Mill was just a single stroke back with a 132 total.  Four teams tied for third at 136.
