Hall of Fame Better-Ball
Hall of Fame Better-Ball First round leaders Gus Sylvan and Steve Liebler survived a two hole playoff with Eddie Hargett and Sammy Truett to win the 2000 Hall of Fame Better Ball. Sylvan and Liebler combined to shoot a final round 68 to give them a two day total of 132. The twosome had to survive a charge from Eddie Hargett of Columbia and Sammy Truett of Surfside, who birdied the final two holes in regulation to get into the tie.

After both teams parred the first hole, Gus Sylvan drained a 15 footer for birdie on the par 5 second hole to claim the title. Defending Champions, Brad Krapfel and Matt Harbin finished in 3rd place with a final round 67.

The final round of the 16th Annual Hall of Fame Better Ball was conducted over the 6779 yard par 72 Columbia Country Club.
