The Championship, played at Woodcreek Farms, found the match all square after 16 holes. A tap in birdie, four, by Liebler gave his team a 1 up lead going into the tough 18th. With David Dargan looking at a 12 foot birdie putt, Slyvan slammed the door on the brothers by canning a 24 footer for a birdie three.
By succesfully defending their 2000 Championship, Syvan and Liebler have won 5 straight SCGA 2 man Championships. The scoring machines were 40 under par for their 85 holes of match play.
This is one of 17 state wide championships conducted by the SCGA.
