Jennings Emerges as Winner

Jerry Jennings, from Hunter’s Creek in Greenwood, emerged a winner, after a back nine card playoff with Patrick Rada from Cobb’s Glen. Both shot 75 in the regular One-Day at Cobb’s Glen October 5, and it came down to the 18th hole, where Jennings managed a par four and Rada had bogey five. Patrick is a regular participant in junior golf, and has risen steadily this summer in the SCJGA junior rankings.

Meanwhile, the father-son combo who did so well in the Hunter’s Creek One-Day a week earlier, was at it again at Cobb’s Glen. Michael Holtzclaw, from the Millstone Golf Club, was low net in the field this time, after winning low gross at Hunter’s Creek. Michael had 76-9=67, while his Dad, Johnny, also shot 76, with a seven handicap, for low net in the 0-7 division.

David Snipes, a senior from Lakeside in Laurens, was low net among all those with 12 or more strokes.
