Regular Report 2003

Gaston, SC- 68 players teed it up at Hidden Valley GC in the first SCGA One Day Event of the year. With the weather sunny, but a little cool, scores were a little higher than expected. Only one person, O'Dell Taylor of the Great Columbia Area GA was able get his net back to the course rating of 70.1. Taylor, playing in Class B, posted a gross score of 79, and with his 9 handicap, walked away with Low Net honors.

Timothy Florine, also of the Greater Columbia Area GA, was a "double dipper" as his gross score of 72 was the lowest of the day and his tee shot on the tough par-3, eighth hole was closer than anyone else who played the hole.

Rinken Sutcliffe of Hickory Ridge took Class A honors with a 71. Randy Leopard (Hidden Valley) captured Class C with a 71, and Joe Godfrey defeated Ted Dillard in a scorecard playoff to win Class D.
