Detreville Beats Out Big Field

It was a cold and rainy day in Greenwood on Veteran’s Day, November 11, but 86 of 99 players who started had a score to show for it. Rick Detreville from Hunter’s Creek had the winning low gross score of 74, after a scorecard playoff with Frank Williams from Greenwood. Rick had the advantage of playing in slightly better conditions, earlier in the day.

One eagle was recorded in the tournament, by Dick Korzen, from Woodside, on the par five 18th. He used his wedge from 60 yards out on the partially blind approach.
