Handicapping

The South Carolina Golf Association has offered computerized handicapping services to our member clubs since 1970. This service was implemented to take the burden off of club staff and volunteers.  Today, computerized handicapping serves as our strongest link with the golfers of South Carolina.

In 1984, in an effort to avoid dual handicap rosters, the SCGA and Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) formed one handicapping system for South Carolina.  Through our handicap vendor, Golfnet, we offer in-house handicapping, packaging the USGA Handicap System with a complete state-of-the-art Tournament Management System.

This system allows members to post and track their own handicap, while giving each club the ability to monitor score posting and professionally administer their events!

Over 64,000 Handicaps Serviced in 2007 & 3,000 Junior Handicaps provided FREE!
