47th Dudley-Sullivan Father Son Championship

Walter & Walt Todd Take Title

For the second time in their playing career of the SCGA’s Dudley-Sullivan Father Son Championship, Walter and Walt Todd have claimed the Scott Hannon Memorial trophy.  Winners in 2010, the Father Son duo from Laurens, held off a strong field with a four under par score of 68 and a two stroke victory over the Lexington team of Rusty and Brooks Massey.

Thomas & Steven Jacoby took the top honors in Division II with a three under par score of 69.  In Division III, John and Joseph Armbruster won by two shots with a score of even par 72.  Richard and Derrick Loy had the landslide win of the day knocking off the Division IV by eight shots with a one under par 71.

Named after long time Greenville Country Club members & SC Golf Hall of Famers, Mr. Charles Dudley and Mr. Heyward Sullivan, the Father Son Championship this year was played at Green Valley Country Club while the Riverside course at Greenville CC is being converted to Bermuda greens.  The format of select drive - alternate shot gives each team a chance to learn the strengths & weaknesses of their partners. Pre-Flighted to take into account the ability of all ages, the Annual Dudley - Sullivan Father Son Championship gives all contestants an opportunity to compete against other teams from across the State.
