Using Course Ratings
Every golf course that is rated is issued a USGA Course & Slope Rating for each set of tees that is played. Course Ratings are established for the scratch golfer and Bogey Ratings are calculated for the bogey golfer. These two ratings are used to determine the Slope Rating for each golf course. The USGA Course & Slope Ratings are calculated and certified by the SC Golf Association and our Rating Teams. Having up to date and correct course ratings is critical in calculating an individual's handicap for a particular golf course.
