Applicants Eligible For Qualifying
The following is a list of individuals that did not automatically receive
entry into the SCGA Mid Amateur Championship. We appreciate the great
response and wish we could get all participants in. As the application
stated, the 111 entries with the lowest handicap index as of September 1
were accepted directly into the field. By virtue of being the host
club, Greenville Country Club received 3 spots. The remaining 6 spots
will be awarded through a Qualifier to be conducted on Thursday,
October 8th (practice round) with tee times starting from 11.00 a.m. to
12.00 p.m. Pairings will be assigned by the SCGA and posted
online by 5.00 p.m. October 1.
88 players with handicaps of .6 or higher as of the September 1 update are
eligible for 6 qualifying spots. Individuals attempting to qualify
will be charged the $85 entry fee. Qualifiers that day will be responsible
to the club for the $20 cart fee for that day. The SCGA will pay the $20
cart fee for all players who do not qualify.
*There is no Practice Round available for the Qualifier*
Any withdrawals from the accepted field will be added to the qualifying
spots available.
The SCGA must receive verification of individuals wanting to attempt to
qualify by 3.00 p.m. Thursday, October 1
