The South Carolina Golf Association is proud to announce PGA Tour Official, Dillard Pruitt as the keynote speaker at the 2009 Rules of Golf Seminar to be held on May 5th at Forest Lake Club in Columbia, SC.

The 14th Annual Rules of Golf seminar, co-hosted by the Carolinas Golf Association, Women’s SC Golf Association and the Carolinas PGA, is an opportunity for golfers of all abilities to learn more about the Rules of Golf. The day will begin with a short Rules of Golf presentation from Biff Lathrop, the Director of Competitions from the SCGA, and will be followed by an open discussion and question forum conducted by Dillard Pruitt. The seminar will close with an outdoor on course session from some of the areas most knowledgeable Rules Officials, including Dillard Pruitt himself.

Dillard Pruitt is a Greenville native and current PGA Tour and Champions Tour Rules Official. Pruitt was a two time All American with the University of Clemson Golf team and winner of the 1982 SCGA Amateur and Sunnehanna Championships before turning pro in 1985. After joining the PGA Tour in 1988, Pruitt’s PGA career was highlighted by a victory at the 1991 Chattanooga Classic. In 2001 Pruitt applied for and received his amateur status from the USGA and has since gone on to a successful Amateur career. A few of Pruitt’s accomplishments include victories at the 2002 Sunnehanna Amateur, the 2002 Canadian Amateur Championship and the 2003 Carolinas Amateur Championship.

The seminar will start at 9.30 a.m. and should conclude by 3 p.m. Current PGA members will receive
