Qualifying Information
With the new qualification process and having to have an exact number of 120 in the field - There will be a certain number of spots at both Qualifying sites and sudden death playoffs will be conducted at the conclusion of play to determine those final spots. Individuals that make a playoff but do not qualify will receive an alternate status for the Championship. There will be playoffs conducted for a total 4 alternate positions at each site. Alternates will be placed in the Championship as individuals from the same qualifying site withdraw. I.e. - If a qualifier from Santee National withdraws, then an alternate from Santee National will be contacted. If an exempt player withdraws, then the next alternate from both sites will be drawn at random.
Based on the percentage
of players at each site and the total number of qualifying spots available, the
following is what was used to determine the number of spots at each location:
