Five Advance From DeBordieu Club to US Open Final Qualifying

Logan Sowell (Bluffton, SC), Andrew Swanson (Bluffton, SC), Avery Price (Georgetown, SC), Bryson Nimmer (Okatie, SC), and Blaine Bunch (Savannah, GA) have all qualified at the DeBordieu Club (7,014 yards, Par 72) in Georgetown, SC to advance to Final Qualifying for the 2022 US Open Championship.

Logan Sowell took the medalist honors with a two under score of 70.

Morgan Deneen (Myrtle Beach, SC) grabbed the first alternate spot and Chris Nallen (Charlotte, NC) finished as a second alternate. The final spot, first alternate, and second alternate were determined by a one hole playoff.  

73 players started the event playing for five spots and two alternates in order to advance to Final Qualifying with a chance to participate in the 2022 United States Open Championship that will be conducted at The Country Club in Brookline, MA on June 16 – 19, 2022.

This USGA Qualifier was conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association on behalf of the Carolinas Golf Association and the United States Golf Association.
