Revis Charges to Second Round Lead at SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship

Greenville, S.C. – The stage is set for the final round of the 41st edition of the SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship at Green Valley Country Club. As the second round has come to an end, Jeremy Revis (Greenville) holds a four-shot lead over first round leader, Chad Siefert (Greenville), after Revis fired a second round score of 64 and a two day total of thirteen under par 131.

As Revis and Siefert hold the top two spots, Walter Todd, Jr. (Greenville), will be rounding out the final pairing as he currently sits alone in third place with an eight under par 136. There is a three-way tie for fourth between Crawford Reeves (Taylors), JD Lehman (Greenville), and recent 2021 U.S. Mid-Amateur Quarterfinalist Christian Sease (Greenville), as each player finished the second round with tournament totals of seven under par 137.  

The field has been cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes for the final round of the championship. Sixty-one players have made the cut at seven over par or better.

The final round of the Championship will begin at 8:00 AM as a double tee start at Green Valley Country Club on Sunday.

The 2021 SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship is being conducted on the par 72 ~ 6,833 Green Valley Country Club layout. The field consists of 110 players from around the State of South Carolina and will be cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes.
