Sease and Walker Take First Round Lead at Players Four-Ball

Blue skies and a beautiful golf course greeted players at the opening round of the 37th Annual SCGA Players Four-Ball Championship held at Columbia Country Club. Jordan Sease (Lexington) and Dixon Walker (Columbia) opened the tournament with a flawless ten under par round of 62 to take a two-shot lead heading into the final round. There is currently a four-way tie for second between the teams of Jeff Day (Blythewood) & Eddie Hargett (Blythewood), Crawford Reeves (Greenville) & Dan Willey (Taylors), Josh Branyon (Honea Path) & Blake Williamson (Anderson), along with Zach Herold (Lexington) & Sam Jackson (West Columbia) after each team finished the first round with eight under par rounds of 64.

The field will be split into four flights for Sunday’s final round based on first round scores. The Final round will begin on Sunday as a shotgun start at 10:00 AM.  

The 2021 SCGA Players Four-Ball Championship is being played at the par 72 – 6,855 yard Columbia Country Club Ridgewood & Tall Pines courses. The field consists of 50 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over thirty-six holes. The Players Four-Ball Championship is in its 37th year of existence.
