45th Annual Senior Championship

Stringer Takes Home Title

Bob Stringer of Blythewood took home the victory in the 45th Annual SCGA Senior Championship. First round leader Dick Horne finished second after a final round 1-under par 71 giving him a three day total of 215. The event was proudly hosted by the Greg Norman designed Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island.

Stringer finished his front side with 2 bogies, a double bogey and a front side score 40. Which left him with a 1 shot lead over his playing partners Dick Horne and Tommy Ford heading into the final 9 holes. He then reeled off birdies on holes 10, & 11, with another on 13 to give him a 3 shot lead. Stringer added 1 more birdie on hole 17 to close out his 4 stroke victory over Dick Horne.
