Talley and Macolly Claim their Fourth Lefty-Righty Championship

Starting the day two shots off the lead, the team of Tyler Macolly (Spartanburg) and Matthew Talley (Roebuck) recorded a Final Round score of nine under par 63 to capture the 46th SCGA Lefty-Righty Championship. The tandem carded nine birdies throughout the final round to capture their fourth Lefty-Righty title finishing the tournament at fourteen under par. Defending champions Brent and Barry Roof finished in a tie for second place alongside the team of David and Robert Dargan. Both teams finished the tournament with a two-day total of thirteen under par 131.

In Lefthanders competition, Rye Tifft (Blythewood) shot a final round score of 72 and tournament total of 2 under par 142 to capture his first SCGA Lefthanders title after making a long eagle putt on the second hole of a sudden death playoff. Jay McDougall (Daniel Island) and Brent Roof (Columbia) finished in a tie for second after Tifft holed his eagle in the playoff.

In Senior Lefty-Righty competition, Mike Daniels (Murrells Inlet) and John Long (Murrells Inlet) took home their fourth Lefty-Righty title after a Final Round 64 and two-day total of 133. With a birdie on the first hole of a playoff, the Murrells Inlet duo outlasted Rich Weston (Pawleys Island) and Steve Horton (Moncks Corner) to take home the Championship.

In Senior Lefthanders competition, Rich Weston completed the win after a final round score of 74 and two-day total of even par 142. With this victory, Weston has now won 6 Lefthanders Championships.
