Shealy and Henriquez Lead After Opening Round of Mixed Team Championship

North Augusta, SC (Oct. 22, 2022) – First round results of the 24th Annual WSCGA-SCGA Mixed Team Championship hosted by the Mount Vintage Golf Club (Chester/Vintage) in North Augusta, SC on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

The team of Catherine Shealy (Blythewood) and Freddy Henriquez  (Blythewood) take the first round lead at the 24 th  Annual WSCGA/SCGA Mixed Team Championship after an opening round score of three under par 69. Shealy and Henriquez have seven teams that are within four shots of them in the Championship Division.  

 

In the Senior Division, there is a two-way tie for first after the opening round. The team of Nancy Dodge (Gilbert) and Mike Ramsey (Isle of Palms) along with the team of Natalie Huff (Elgin) and Danny Stubbs (Columbia) both shot an opening round score of three under par 69. 

 

The final round of the Mixed Team Championship will begin Sunday morning with a 9:00 Shotgun. The final round has been flighted based on first round score in each division.

The 2022 WSCGA/SCGA Mixed Team Championship is being played at the Mount Vintage Golf Club – Chester & Vintage Courses. The field consists of 48 man & woman teams playing a Best Ball format the first day and a Select Drive-Alternate Shot format the second day. The Mixed Team Championship is in its 24th year of existence.
