Fifteen Qualify at Smithfields to Advance to 92nd Amateur Championship

EASLEY, SC   (June 29, 2023) – Fifteen players shot a score of two over par 74 or better at Smithfields Country Club (6,784 yards, Par 72, 74.3/150) in Easley, SC to qualify for the 92nd SCGA Amateur Championship.

Max Vischer (Clemson) claimed the medalist honors after a two under par round of 70.  


This qualifier was the second of four qualifying events for the 2023 SCGA Amateur Championship. The second qualifier will be held at Oak Hills Golf Club in Columbia, SC on July 3, 2023.


 The Amateur Championship will be played August 3-6, 2023, at Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, SC.
