Three Teams Tied at the Top Following First Round at Parris Island

The teams of  Bob Hoffman  (Greenville) &  Scott Kabas  (Greenville),  Charlie Hall  (Hilton Head) &  Mike Poe  (Hilton Head), and  Joe Hendrick  (Chesterfield) &  Ricky Finke  (Hartsville) all stand tied atop the leaderboard after opening the first round of the SCGA Super Senior Four-Ball Championship with rounds of eight-under-par 64. All three teams share a two-stroke lead over the fourth-place team heading into the final round of the 2024 SCGA Super Senior Four-Ball Championship at The Legends at Parris Island.

 

In the Legends Division,  Tim Pope  (Spartanburg) and  Roger Page  (Duncan) find themselves in the lead after carding a round of eight-under-par 64. They will carry a three-shot lead into the final round over  Warren Peper  (Landrum) and  Oren Wood  (Charleston).

 

The Final Round will begin on Thursday with a 9:00 AM Shotgun start.

The 2024 SCGA Super Senior Four-Ball Championship is being played at The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island which is located on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in Parris Island, SC. The starting field consists of 48 teams split into two divisions. The Championship Division and Legends Division is flighted based on Round One scores. The Championship Division consisting of players ages of 65-69, is playing to a yardage of 5,681 yards while the Legends Division consisting of players ages 70 and over, is playing to a yardage of 5,325 yards. The format for the two days of competition is Four-Ball Stroke Play.
