After halving the par three 17th with pars, Ferrell holed out from 144 yards to secure a 2-up victory. Ferrell remarked "I couldn't see the pin because of the tall grass. I hit what I thought was a good shot, ran over there, and saw it hop. Then I heard people screaming. I don't know if I will ever close out a tournament that way again. That was pretty special!"
