Seward and Smith Capture 58th SCGA Four-Ball Championship

CLINTON, SC (May 25, 2025) – Jack Seward and Jay Smith (Florence) captured the title at the 58th SCGA Four-Ball Championship with a 2 & 1 victory over Neal Todd (Laurens) and PJ Jacobs (Prosperity) at Musgrove Mill Golf Club.

Todd and Jacobs jumped out to an early lead after a birdie on the 1st hole gave them a one-up advantage. They held that lead through the next two holes, halving both the 2nd and 3rd. Seward and Smith evened the match with a birdie on the par-four 4th, and the two sides remained tied through the 7th. A clutch par on the 8th gave Seward and Smith their first lead of the day, one-up on the 8th. They extended that lead to two-up with a par on the 9th hole, only for Jacobs to answer with a birdie on 12 to bring the match back to one-up. Seward responded immediately with a birdie on 13, to bring Seward and Smith's lead back to 2-up. Todd and Jacobs made par on hole 14 to bring the match back to 1-up. On the par-three 17th, Seward and Smith rolled in a birdie to secure the 2 & 1 victory and claim the 58th SCGA Four-Ball Championship title.
