Corn and Holmes Claim Players Four-Ball Championship Title

The side of Jake Corn (Rock Hill) and Stephen Holmes (York) have claimed the 2025 SCGA Players Four-Ball Championship. Corn and Holmes posted an 11 under par 131, tied with Zachary Herold (Lexington) & Sam Jackson (West Columbia) after the 36-hole championship. Corn and Holmes secured victory with a birdie on the first playoff hole. 

The field was split into four flights for Sunday’s final round based on first round scores (Championship, First, Second, Third). The side of Yancey Johnson (Simpsonville) and Duff Wagner (Greenville) claimed top honors in the first flight at 5 under par 137. In the second flight we had a tie for first with Andy Wood (Summerville) & Anders Skaalerud (Goose Creek) as well as Michael Jopling (Greenville) & Thomas Fridy (Greenville) after posting a 3 over par 145. In the third flight, the side of Brooks Massey (Lexington) and Grant Bouknight (Lexington) won with a 6 over par 148.

The 2025 SCGA Players Four-Ball Championship was played at the Solina Golf Club, par 71 – 6,545 yard. The field consisted of 52 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over thirty-six holes. The Players Four-Ball Championship is in its 41st year of existence.
