Glaze and Liner Claim Senior Four-Ball Title
AIKEN, SC (March 3, 2026) - Cloudy skies and a mild day greeted those playing in the final round of the 33rd SCGA Senior Four-Ball Championship.
The side of Gettys Glaze (Charleston) and Mims Liner (Irmo) used all 36 holes of the championship to take the title, after a birdie on the last hole clinched the trophy for the duo. Glaze and Liner finished at 11-under for the tournament after rounds of 66 and 65.
Glaze and Liner started the day in a tie for second place, four shots behind Columbia’s John Obrien and Robert Andrews who soared to a hefty first round lead. Birdies in two of their first four holes had them within one shot early in the day.
As the side made the turn for today’s round, there was a five-way tie for the lead at 8-under. A hard-fought birdie on the par-4 13th kept them in the hunt, and birdies on holes #16 and #18 lifted them to a one-stroke victory.
This was Glaze and Liner’s first Senior Four-Ball title. The side of Scott Osler and
Richard Rebholz from Johns Island finished in 2nd place after two rounds of 66 and a 10-under finish. Holley Wallace (Sumter) and James Maples (West Columbia) rounded out the top three after shooting the low-round of the day; a 7-under-par 64 that got them to 9-under for the championship.
