October 19-20, 2021

Odiorne Wins SCGA Super Senior Championship

Walter Odiorne (Blythewood) shot a final round score of 72 for a two-day total of even par 142 to win the 15thAnnual Harry Wilson Super Senior Championship at Florence Country Club. Dennis Helms (North Myrtle Beach) along with Joe Hendrick (Chesterfield) finished tied for second place after each player completed the event with a respective tournament total of 144.

The final round would be a three-horse race as Odiorne began the day with a one-shot lead over Hendrick and a two-shot lead over Helms. Despite a charging final round 70 for Helms, Hendrick would post a final round 73, giving Odiorne just enough wiggle room with a one over par final round 72 to ultimately capture the championship by two strokes over Helms and Hendrick.

In the Legends Division, past SCGA Super Senior Champion, Mike Weiner of Kiawah Island, was victorious after finishing with a tournament total of 145 and a final round score of 74.

The Super Senior Championship consisted of two divisions.
