Sease & Truesdale Capture Title at The Dunes Club

With the first round cancelled due to weather, the final round of the 2019 SCGA Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship was set to be a shootout with some of the best Mid-Amateur players in the state. The team of Jordan Sease (Lexington) and Brandon Truesdale (Rock Hill) provided all the firepower needed to win the 25^th anniversary event after the duo compiled an 8 under par round of 64 to capture the title by one stroke at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Jordan Sease came into the event with a hot hand, recently qualifying for the United States Mid-Amateur Championship along with capturing his club championship at the Country Club of Lexington. Truesdale, also a dominant Mid-Amateur presence, was half of the 2018 SCGA Four-Ball Champion team. Sease and Truesdale played bogey free golf by combining 8 birdies and 10 pars throughout their round to ultimately crown themselves as champions.

Finishing tied for second at 7 under par 65 were current SCGA Mid-Amateur Champion, Kyle Bearden (Barnwell), and his partner Blake Austin (Barnwell), along with The Dunes Club President, Justin Roof (Conway), and his brother Barry Roof (Myrtle Beach).

The 2019 SCGA Mid-Amateur Four Ball Championship was played at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club playing at par 72 – 6,720 yard. The field consisted of 76 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over eighteen holes due to a first round cancellation. The Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship is in its 25^th year of existence.
