Jones & Maness Prevail in Playoff

Gregg Jones (Florence) and Michael Maness (Greenville) earned the title of 2016 SCGA Partners Championship Champions after a two hole playoff bout with first day co-leaders Josh Campbell (Easley) and Will Jones (Easley). The 24^th edition of the tournament was played at The Members Club at WildeWood and Spring Valley Country Club. Jones and Maness won the title after making a short par putt on the second playoff hole. Both teams finished the tournament tied at 16 under par 128. It took Jones and Maness playing the difficult ninth hole of Spring Valley Country Club to win the title outright.

In the Second Flight of the Championship Division, Ron Clontz (Greer) and Todd Hendley (Greer) fired a second day low round of nine under par 63 to win the flight by two strokes over Barry (Myrtle Beach) and Justin Roof (Conway). Marcus (Greenville) and Shane Grumbles (Taylors) took top honors in the Third Flight two strokes ahead of their nearest competitor.

In the Tournament Division, first day leaders Chris Bailey (Columbia) and Richard Rebholz (Rock Hill) held on to their lead to win their division by four shots over Derrick Belue (Spartanburg) and Todd Webber (Moore). Bailey and Rebholz shot a tournament low score of 17 under par 127. Tadd Brown (Moncks Corner) and Ken Martin (Lexington) took honors in the Second Flight of the Tournament Division by three strokes. Lastly, David League (Travelers Rest) and Bryan Tankersley (Greenville) captured the Third Flight by a shot.
