Dargan and Hargett Capture SCGA Mid-Am Four-Ball Title
Warmer conditions heated up the field as lower scores prevailed at the final round of the 2006 SCGA Mid-Amateur Four-Ball held at The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor.  The duo of 32 year old David Dargan and 46 year old Eddie Hargett followed up a first round score of five under par 67 with a final round of seven under par 65 for a two day total of 132. 
 
Finishing second for the championship was the team of Ron Schroder and Mike Wiland from Aiken.  They finished with a round of six under par 66 after shooting a first round 68.
 
Dargan and Hargett managed eight birdies during Sunday’s round along with a pair of bogeys.  They finished the final round by sinking birdies on the par three seventeenth hole and the difficult par five eighteenth.
 
The first day leaders, defending champion tandem of brothers Walter and TD Todd and Mike Gravley and Steve Liebler, both finished tied for third place at nine under par 135.  Teams of Jeff McCutcheon-Chip Whitt and Jimmy Hawkins-Chris Mitchell also finished tied for third after two solid rounds.
 
The 2006 SCGA Mid-Am Four Ball Championship was played on the par 72 ~ 6976 yard Patriot Golf course in Ninety Six, SC.  The field consisted of 70 teams playing four-ball stroke play. The Mid-Am Four Ball is one of 17 Major Championships conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association and is in its 12^th year of existence.
