For the second day in a row players were graced with warm temperatures in the 10th Annual Tournament of Champions held at The Tradition Club in Pawleys Island. Champions from all over the State came to compete in six different divisions over the 36 hole event.

The low score of the event came from the Club Champion Division with Patrick Smith from Florence taking first place with a score of 143. In the Men’s Senior Club Division, Joe Vignati of Bluffton shot his second under par score for a total of 141. The 2005 Player of the Year, Steve Liebler of Irmo won the One Day Gross Division with a total of 145. Aiken resident Steve Ebert won the One Day Senior Division by six shots with a total of 150. Kristine Berger of Hilton Head held off two others for a one shot win in the Women’s Division. Vernon Davis of Chapin won the One Day Net Division with a final net score of 140.

The 2005 SCGA~WSCGA Tournament of Champions was played on the par 72, Ron Garl designed Tradition Club in Pawleys Island, SC. The field consisted of 110 men and women playing in 6 separate divisions. The Tournament of Champions is one of 17 Major Championships conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association and is in its 10th year of existence.
