Ezelle and Todd Jr. Victorious at Lefty-Righty Championship

SANTEE, SC   (June 25, 2023) – Starting the day tied for the lead, the team of Danny Ezelle (Taylors) and Walt Todd Jr. (Greenville) recorded a final round score of eight under par 64 to capture the 47th SCGA Lefty-Righty Championship.

 

 The tandem carded eight birdies throughout the final round to capture the Lefty-Righty title, finishing the tournament at fifteen under par. Jay McDougall (Daniel Island) and Neal Webb (Mt. Pleasant) finished alone in second place after a final round of 64 and tournament total of twelve under par 132.

 

In Lefthanders competition, Danny Ezelle backed up his opening round of 67 with a final round of four under par 68 to capture his first Lefthanders Championship with a tournament total of nine under par 135. Jay McDougall (Daniel Island) finished alone in second place at one under par 143.

 

In Senior Lefty-Righty competition, Duff Wagner (Taylors) and Ron Clontz (Greer) took home the Lefty-Righty title after a final round 65 and two-day total of 133. First round leaders Rich Weston (Pawleys Island) and Steve Horton (Moncks Corner) finished alone in second place after a final round 69 and tournament total of 134.

 

In Senior Lefthanders competition, Rich Weston completed the win after a final round score of 73 and two-day total of one over par 143. With this victory, Weston has now won 7 Lefthanders Championships.
