After a strong finish, Connor Doyal of Charleston was crowned champion of the 45th SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship. Doyal finished the tournament with an overall score of eight-under-par 208. He carded three birdies and an impressive eagle on number 15. Jackson posted a final round score of two-under par 70 to claim the title.

“Well, I've been a rollercoaster of emotions all week,” stated Doyal. “Played pretty good the first two rounds, put myself in contention going to the final round, which is all you can really ask for. And it was tight all day today up until 15, where I drove one in the left rough. Could either pitch out and leave myself a wedge in for my third shot in the par five, or I could go through the trees and take on the green, and that's what I did. Hit a pretty good shot to about 20 feet, made that for eagle. That's where I kind of distanced myself and was able to close it out coming in on the last three.”

Andy Mitchell of Greenville and Rhett Smith of Rock Hill finished tie for second place, each with an overall score of four-under-par 212.

The 2025 SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship was played at Rock Hill Country Club, a par-72 course measuring 6,612 yards. The field consisted of 109 players from around the State of South Carolina and was cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes.
